Water Level

AquaRod- Digital Crest Gage "Now with PDA communication!"

DEPTH / TEMPERATURE SENSOR: The AquaRod is an inexpensive, easy to use alternative to pressure sensors, floats and data loggers. Originally developed for the rigors of the U.S. Forest Service the units have no moving parts and are accurate to 1/100th of a foot. Unlike pressure sensors, the AquaRod is freeze tolerant, not susceptible to plugging of the sensing port, and does not require a vent tube to the surface, desiccant bags or drying chemicals. Today it is used extensively by irrigation districts, by surface water managers, fisheries biologists, and by a broad array of professionals throughout the water industry.

LOGGING:
Preprogram the unit to log at intervals from one minute to one hour, or to monitor events over an extended period, the AquaRod can be programmed to record only when the water level changes more than a preset limit that the user programs into the unit. Units may be left for over 3 months recording temperature, level, date and time once every 15 minutes (9500 data points total). A single Lithium battery is provided with the device.

COMMUNICATIONS:
Change settings, engineering units, view current status, or download data easily using the AquaRod's graphical, simple to use PC software. Also, newly available: a hand held PDA (Palm OS) for complete operation in the field.

RANGES:
Available in ranges from 0 to 1.5 feet, 3 feet and 6 feet (0.5 m, 1 m and 2 m). The 1.5 foot and 3 foot units have an accuracy of 1/100 of a foot and a resolution of 0.00165 feet. Six foot rods have an accuracy of two hundredths of a foot and resolve to 0.0165 feet.

APPLICATIONS: Excellent for deployment in lakes, rivers, streams, irrigation ditches or in conjunction with a flume or weir installation.

POWER SUPPLY: One 3.6 Volt Lithium Batter
