The Stevens AxSys CCR is a
microprocessor-based instrument used for monitoring, recording and totalizing
open channel flows in water and wastewater. The unit is designed to accept
a variety of environmental sensor inputs. In flowmeter applications the instrument
is capable of converting the water gage height reading from a water level
sensor into an instantaneous flow rate value, and then accumulating the discharged
flow totals over a user specified interval. An integral 6 inch diameter
circular chart provides continuous on site recording of flow rates or any
optional parameter you want to chart. Chart speed is selectable via
an on-board switch for 6 hours, 24 hours, 7 days, and 31 days. The AxSys
CCR offers a large internal memory capacity (60,000 readings) and an even
larger memory capacity in a removable Stevens Data Card (120,000 readings),
which can be brought in from the field and read into a computer at the office.
The AxSys CCR can also be an easy functional replacement to the Stevens 61R
or 61M flowmeters by simply configuring the AxSys CCR with a float pulley
shaft assembly and mounting bracket.
The Type A-71 Chart
Recorder was first introduced in 1911, and has been improved and perfected
over the years. Today it is still the worldwide standard in quality and reliability
for river hydrography and other installations where long-term operation is
required.
The A-71 is a float-operated recorder that provides a permanent, long-term graphic record of water-level fluctuations. A clock movement controls the rate at which a strip chart is advanced. The rise and fall of the float moves a marking stylus laterally across the chart. The stylus will reverse at each margin so that any range of water level can be accommodated. Convenience The A-71 Recorder uses a strip chart and pen marker to provide a permanent on-site record of water-level fluctuations. Both metric and English models are available. The A-71 Recorder stands on a three-legged cast metal base, and has an ABS plastic cover with a full-face gasket and a clear viewing port. Double-jointed hinges permit maximum cover movement for servicing in cramped quarters. Key-shaped hasps ensure secure closing and easy release of the cover, even with gloves on. Telemetry and Data Logging Options The Type A-71 Recorder may be used with the Stevens data loggers such as the AxSys MPU , GS-98 , or Pulse Logger,. The AxSys MPU with A/F Encoder offers a convenient, cost-effective way of getting water-level data in a computer-compatible format, and it does so without disrupting the chart recording function. The Stevens Pulse Generator or A/F Encoder can be attached to a Stevens Type A-71 Recorder to transmit pulses to the Stevens AxSys MPU for data logging or real-time transmission of water-level information via telephone, radio, or direct wired link.
