The encoder MGI is designed for absolute measuring of mechanical
positions ( angular displacement, lift, distance, travel) of positioining
elements. The displacement to be measured is conveyed by gear wheel, chain,
lever, universal joint-shaft, etc. to the input shaft of the transmitter.
The compact and robust design as well as the simple assembly enable a wide
range of applications.
Signal processing within the unit is continuously digital by a micro-controller.
The transmitter may be set on-site by an operating unit with display or
remote via HART / LON fieldbus connection. Position lineriasation is available
by programming an integrated look-up table. Perfect function of the transmitter
is surveyed by cyclic self tests.
